About Aroko
Research for the Grid-Silicon Order
Aroko provides strategic intelligence at the intersection of energy transition, technology infrastructure, and geopolitical risk.
Aroko was founded on a single premise: the next generation of artificial intelligence, high-density computing, and industrial electrification will be constrained by the physics of power generation, electrical transmission, and materials — not by software scaling laws alone. Most coverage of the AI buildout treats power, compute, and geopolitics as three separate beats. Aroko treats them as one system, because that's what they actually are.
Our analytical process combines proprietary evidence infrastructure with human-directed thesis formation. Every keystone claim is verified against primary sources — regional transmission operator (RTO) filings, FERC proceedings, and manufacturing supply chain capacities — and all editorial judgment is exercised directly, not outsourced to a model.
Who's behind it
Aroko is written and directed by Mackinnon Lawrence. He spent ten years leading Guidehouse Insights, a global energy transition research and advisory practice where he oversaw a syndicated research portfolio spanning power & renewables, grid modernization, advanced transportation & mobility, smart cities, and intelligence buildings. Aroko builds that same research discipline from the infrastructure up: AI-native, evidence-first, with each thesis tested against real-time signals.
Editorial standards
Every piece of content published under the Aroko name is checked against primary sources before it ships, and where a figure is modeled or directional rather than measured, the piece says so. Calls and forecasts are dated, given an explicit kill condition, and tracked in public on the Watchlist page - resolved or not.
What we don't do
- Accept sponsored research from vendors, hardware manufacturers, or utility developers.
- State a modeled or directional figure as if it were measured.
- Publish a forecast without a dated, falsifiable kill condition attached.
Editorial independence
